This old nut has many options for string spacing, unfortunately none of them are even. It will be replaced with a new nut with comfortable, even spacing, and a better material for tone. |

Here is a view of the neck after re-fitting. The neck bar was also trimmed to fit the body and attach to the tailblock. The continuous contact will let the vibrations / sound of the instrument ring as a whole. |
